What is a solar roof?

Solar Roof Tiles act as both a roof covering and electricity generating solution

Efficient and simple

For new roofs or extensions to existing buildings, regulations require that all tiles are fixed with nails or clips. Roof integrated solar panels, like Marley SolarTile®, can be installed easily in a new roof application. The solar panels and flashings can be fitted to the roof first and then the roof covering can be fixed around them

Why Marley Roof tiles

Marley SolarTile® alone offers market leading wind and fire resistance, but when combined with the complete Marley Roof System, the security of a roof that works to keep the weather out, also works to generate power for the home

High end looks

Installed in either a landscape or portrait orientation, Marley SolarTile® panels are easily combined using patented push-fit technology to create solar arrays of any shape and size. As well as this, the industry leading 5mm panel spacing and hidden fixings give a high-end, sleek aesthetic to your solar roof.

Benefits of Marley tiles

Fixed directly onto the battens to replace a section of roof tiles or slates means a completely flush fit can be achieved, to provide a sleek, unobtrusive roof finish.

Panel Performance

Marley SolarTile® is the only roof-integrated solar system accredited with the highest resistance to spread of flame and fire penetration in all European fire safety tests, achieving BRoof T1, T2, T3 and T4.

The PV solar tiles also provide excellent weather-tightness and wind resistance, without the need for extra roof batten support, adhesive flashing rolls or fireproofing materials. The certified wind resistance for Marley SolarTile® is more than four times higher than competitor PV roof tiles and is suitable for even the most exposed locations.
